PELCO II in partnership with Aboitiz Power Corp., TESDA and Brgy. Jose Abad Santos (Siran), Guagua, Pampanga just concluded the first batch of 3-day community-based training project in Manicure, Pedicure and Hair Cutting today, July 31, 2023.
The community-based training project was designed to cater to the specific needs and preferences of the local community. To ensure its success and sustainability, PELCO II collaborated with reputable organizations, community and experienced in vocational training and community development.
A skilled trainer was tasked by the TESDA to deliver comprehensive and hands-on training in manicure, pedicure, and hair cutting techniques. The program not only covered technical aspects but also emphasized essential business skills like customer service, to enable the trainees to run their own small businesses effectively.
By equipping individuals with marketable skills, the project aims to reduce unemployment rates and empower participants to become entrepreneurs or sought-after professionals in the beauty industry.
To ensure sustainability of the project, the participants elected their coordinator who will represent them in coordinating programs and possible business opportunities with the local government units through PELCO II.
The project is expected to recommence on August 29, 2023, in the district of Sta. Rita, Pampanga.
