PELCO II office personnel voluntarily arranged mouthwatering dishes on a long table creating an inviting and festive atmosphere for the linemen. The variety of dishes displayed the rich culinary heritage of the province of Pampanga featuring local delicacies and beloved favorites to show their deep appreciation to all the coop’s linemen.

The boodle fight, a traditional Filipino communal meal, became an unforgettable moment of celebration and gratitude as the linemen gathered to enjoy the feast.  The offices and departments collaborated in making the feast possible thru the efforts of; Mr. Amador T. Guevarra, General Manager, Engr. Joe-Mel S. Zaporteza, Chief Management Advisor, Engr. Enrique Y. Gamboa, TSD head, Ms. Agnes S. Isip, HRD Head, Mr. John Terry M. Cayanan, FSD Head, Mr. Neil S. Isip, ISD Head, Engr. Danvir V. Miclat, Logistics Head, Ms. Janet M. Quiazon, RMD Head, Mr. Adriel Edson L. De Guzman, OIC—IAD, Engr. Raul L. Canlas, AGM for operations, Ms. Rachel D. Gaviola, Guagua-Sasmuan Area Head, Ms. Mary Ann S. Lugtu, Sta Rita Area Head and all the PELCO II Employees. 

 

Other Area Offices also organized a simple gathering thru the efforts of the Area Heads; Consolacion C. Muli, Lubao Area Head, Lucia D. Teopaco, Cangatba-Manibaug Area Head, Lorinda R. Soriano, Bacolor Area Head and Mr. Edward P. Timog, Mabalacat Area Head.

 

In a heartfelt tribute to the dedicated and skilled lineworkers, Pampanga II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PELCO II) participated in the celebration of National Lineworkers’ Appreciation Day. The event, held on August 7, 2023, recognized the indispensable role of lineworkers in ensuring reliable electricity distribution across the Philippines.

 

PELCO II took this opportunity to express gratitude for the unwavering commitment and resilience of their lineworkers, who consistently work under challenging conditions to maintain and repair power lines. The celebration included activities to honor these unsung heroes.

 

During the event, PELCO II's management commended the lineworkers for their tireless efforts and their role in providing uninterrupted power supply to the residents of some areas in Pampanga. The company highlighted the lineworkers' dedication in responding to emergencies promptly and efficiently, especially during natural disasters and adverse weather conditions.

 

PELCO II also expressed its commitment to continually support and invest in the welfare and professional development of its lineworkers. The cooperative reaffirmed its dedication to upholding safety standards and equipping its lineworkers with the necessary resources and training to carry out their crucial duties effectively.

Amidst the camaraderie and festive ambiance, Engr. Rommer Rodriguez and Shadow Velasco surprised the linemen with a musical tribute dedicated to their heroic efforts.

 

In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation, Engr. Rommer Rodriguez, a member of the PELCO II male singers, and Shadow Velasco, a PELCO II lineman and a talented composer known for his song "Sundalong Pailaw," joined forces to serenade the linemen of the coop during a special boodle fight event.

 

The song "Sundalong Pailaw" holds a special significance as it pays homage to the lineworkers, depicting them as "warriors of light" who fearlessly venture into the dark to bring illumination to communities. The composition has garnered attention not only for its musical brilliance but also for its heartfelt message of valor and service.

 

As the linemen savored their meal together, the melodic tunes of "Sundalong Pailaw" and other heroic songs filled the air, accompanied by Engr. Rodriguez's powerful voice and Shadow Velasco's musical prowess. Their performance struck a chord with the linemen, stimulating emotions of pride and appreciation for their vital role in keeping the power flowing.

 

With the presence of the esteemed leaders, General Manager Amador T. Guevarra and Chief Management Advisor Joe-Mel S. Zaporteza, PELCO II linemen were graced with inspirational messages and words of gratitude.

 

In their speeches, GM Guevarra and CMA Zaporteza highlighted the immense pride they feel for the linemen's unwavering commitment to their duty, especially during challenging times. Along with the celebration, PELCO II awarded backpacks as tokens of appreciation to all its dedicated linemen during the special boodle fight event. The linemen received the thoughtful gifts with smiles of appreciation, knowing that the management recognizes their crucial role in maintaining a reliable power supply across the province.

Each bag was equipped with durable materials and designed with various compartments to accommodate their essential tools and equipment.
