On April 30, 2024, the Cooperative progressively launched its first medical mission as part of the cooperative’s 45th founding anniversary and in our commitment in fulfilling bringing positive change in our franchise area by bringing together our employees, local healthcare professionals, and other volunteers to accommodate the medical needs of our Member-Consumer-Owners.
In participation were Ms. Catherine Del Villar-Pasilaban (Vice President of Aboitiz Power Corp.), Dir. Jerold Dominick David (Guagua District Director), Dir. Ryan M. Caladiao (Board President), Engr. Joe-mel S. Zaporteza (Chief Management Advisor), Amador T. Guevarra (General Manager) and Atty. Claire D. Lim (Member-Consumer-Owners Organization Officer – Guagua) convened for the ceremonial signing of the Partnership Certificate to mark the launch of the program. This is a testament to our commitment in promoting health equity and addressing healthcare disparities by providing free, essential medical services as we strive to improve the health and well-being of everyone, specifically the underprivileged sector, and pave the way for a healthier future for all. The initiative was in coordination with the local barangay council and was able to accommodate a total of 155 residents from different areas of Guagua district held at Guagua National Colleges. It was also made possible with the help of Guagua Rural Health Unit headed by Dra. Remedios Noble and Dr. Alfred G. Jones III with their staffs both medical and barangay volunteers.
A momentous event where compassion meets care and healing knows no bounds. Together, let's bring hope, health, and happiness to those in need. The event symbolizes solidarity and commitment to uplift the community, demonstrating how an electric cooperative like PELCO II could contribute beyond its regular operations because PELCO II CARES.
